The first meeting for the Resilience Steering Committee (RSC) for the Town of Saxis Coastal Adaptation and Resilience Plan will be held at the Saxis Firehouse Thursday February 19, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The RSC will play a critical role in shaping the Plan's development and will provide a forum for open conversation and feedback on the study approach and products. We look forward to working with the Dewberry team to collaboratively review and refine the study approach and understand the Town's vision for the plan. This is the beginning of the process to draw a resilience plan for the town on the issues of flooding and erosion.
Work is being completed at the spill site to prepare for the dredging of the creek and harbor area. You can see heavy equipment at the spill site working to have the area ready once the dredge arrives, however a date for dredging has not been confirmed.
