 Saxis will be contracting with Dewberry Engineering / Consulting out of Fairfax, VA to prepare a Coastal Adaptation and Resilency Study Plan.  This is the first steps needed to look for grants to help with the flooding and erosion events in Saxis.  This study will take a year to year and a half to be completed.  There will be several public meetings in town where Dewberry can be asked questions and will look for input from the towns population regarding flooding and preventative measures.  Dates and times will be announced once the public meetings have been scheduled.

Work is being completed at the spill site to prepare for the dredging of the creek and harbor area.  You can see heavy equipment at the spill site working to have the area ready once the dredge arrives, however a date for dredging has not been confirmed.
